This was the second of three events with Tony Lloyd, the current Mayor and Police & Crime Commissioner, looking at the work and role of the mayor ahead of the election in May 2017 when Greater Manchester will get its first ever elected mayor.
In May 2015, Tony Lloyd was appointed as the interim Greater Manchester Mayor. Since then he has been at the forefront of preparing the significant change that will be needed to the city’s governance and activities ahead of next May’s election.
At this event, Tony looked at some of the big achievements and successes in the 18 months he has been in the role, as well as what there is still to do.
At the final event on March 6th 2017, the Chamber will look ahead to the election, the handover to the elected mayor in May and what Tony’s legacy is.
All of these events are being held at the Chamber Space in our main meeting room. To find our more about hiring a meeting room or organising an event contact our team at [email protected]
